Challenge
Northwestern University maintains a large and highly visible institutional brand that must remain consistent across a wide range of communications, platforms, and audiences. As schools, departments, and initiatives create their own materials, the challenge is ensuring the brand remains cohesive while still allowing flexibility across different contexts and mediums.

Role
Senior Graphic Designer and brand steward responsible for providing art direction, brand guidance, and design support for the Northwestern University brand as well as sub-brands across schools, offices, and departments.

Approach
Worked across environmental, print, digital, and campaign-based projects to apply and extend Northwestern’s visual identity in a wide variety of contexts. This included developing graphics for signage and environmental spaces, broadcast and digital campaigns, marketing materials, and social media systems. Each project required balancing consistency with flexibility while ensuring the Northwestern brand remained clear and recognizable across channels.

Impact
This work helped maintain a cohesive brand presence across Northwestern’s communications while supporting departments in bringing their own stories and initiatives to life.
